Stade Edmond Leburton, Waremme

The stadium of Stade Waremme is in a poor state these days. Only the large stand where once an elite trainer as Raymond Goethals plied his trade is a remembrance of a great past. A past where the club played in the Division d’Honneur from 1932 to 1936 and until the beginning of the 90’s was a fixture in the National Divisions.

In
1994 the club relegated to the Provincial Divisions and despite a brief return to the Fourth Division in 1999 Stade even ended up in the Second Provincial Division. A low point in the club’s history. Luckily the club bounced back and its currently again residing in the 2nd National Amateur Division

The Stade
Leburton exhibits the same symptoms as the club, the billboards are gone or rusted, the main stand can use a coat of paint and erosion has struck on the terraces behind the goal and the 4-piece concrete stand across the street.
